Ever wanted to become a Stage Hypnotist?

Ever wanted to know how Stage Hypnosis was done?

Ever wanted to become a better hypnotist?

READ ON.

In August 2003, ZigZag TV Productions, contacted Phillip Holt, NLPNOW, to demonstrate how in two days, a person could taken, and taught Stage Hypnosis. Then the evening of the second day, take that person, and perform a live show/demonstration, in-front of a invited audience.

With the help of members of the London NLP & Hypnosis Practice Group we did more than that, seven people, with the support of other members of the course who attended the two day course, did a live show, on stage, on the evening of the second day, .

A fabulous evening was had by all, with fun and laughter over-coming the initial stage nerves of the Stage Hypnotists.

Altogether, twelve invited audience guests participated in the show, in four separate acts. Yes, we had four acts. Three were individual acts, and what we consider the world's first, a Four Stage Hypnotist Act, calling themselves, "Part 4".

"Part 4" were able to demonstrate to the invited guests, that willing quests on stage, were able to follow the suggestions from another member of "Part 4", to be performed as a continuous act.

The whole two days, plus the evening show was recorded, and is scheduled to be shown in November 2003, on Channel 4.

There were distracters and critics, who were against what was achieved, but none of these people attended or supported the course or evening, to get an understanding of  Stage Hypnosis. After seeing the TV program on Channel 4, they may wish to learn more on subsequent courses we will run.

We thank those who supported the event, for without you, the whole production would not have happened.

WHAT PEOPLE SAID.

FROM THE INVITED GUESTS

Well done to the guys last night, and to you for coaching them!  I was impressed at their speed, and their polish.  They all handled the agony of getting volunteers superbly, especially Alexander, being first up.

Getting them to practice in a live format as part of he course is an excellent idea, as was the baton passing routine in part 2.  Had we done a show in the course I attended, the practice would have taken 12 hours.

I picked up a few tips, which I'll use next time. Maybe I should start doing it for money..

All the best

Kevin

I was at your stage hypnosis show yesterday, and it's definitely one of the best shows I've been to!!

It was very very entertaining, and I thank you.

CONGRATULATIONS for an excellent night of stage hypnosis. I thought your students were marvelous. I was so nervous for them really, I thought I have seen Ken Webster who I think is hilariously brilliant, and he only got 3 participants for the whole night.  I think they actually got about 12 people to participate, what courage, I thought I am so envious, I wish I had the ability to just go for it.

I actually think the first guy on the show has the best potential, he looks entertaining and had great stage presence, again what nerves, excellent. The South African also has that something, he actually sounds unique, that accent, again excellent. There was one guy who I thought should speak a bit quicker at times but he was there, he went for it and I am sure he will carry on from strength to strength. The end performance I have often wondered if this could be done with more than two now I know.

Also full marks for you Phillip, you were with them all the way with your encouragement, laughter, and clapping and at times just a reassuring smile, I would certainly be grateful for you to be in my corner. I hope to be in your next course.

The eager Scotsman a future student.

There were around 7 or 8 acts in total, and NONE of them had performed before, so it was even more interesting for me. They had all attended a 2 day seminar prior which is run by Phillip Holt. I didn't go unfortunately, I was too late, all the seats were booked.

The show was fantastic, and was staged in a very informal and friendly, warm manner.

FROM THE COURSE PARTICIPANTS

My introduction to stage hypnosis was the most amazing experience. From the moment we started your confidence in us as a group was so encouraging.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the most amazing time. Who would have thought two days later we'd be performing in front of people....successfully!!!

Your patience and teaching ability were stretched to breaking point, but you did it..

Thanks for a great 2 days and the performance of a lifetime.

I think the 4 man act was great, and enjoyed myself very much.

Phillip showed us the nuts and bolts of stage work. We can now create and build our own show - fantastic.
